Victoria Balva is a glass artist and leading designer. She is a professionally trained artist with intensive experience of designing and fabrication of various art projects related to architecture. After my graduation from Art University in Ukraine, my husband and I immigrated to Canada and established our design studio in Toronto. We named it Artistic Line Studio. I develop artistic concepts of the projects and my partner Eugene Bakumenko is handling technical considerations and studio management. For practical realization of our projects we attract many professionals with high standard of knowledge in different fields such as wrought iron artists and welders, wood carvers and cabinet-makers, sculptors and stucco modellers, architects, designers and engineers.
We cooperate with the best architects, designers and builders. Among them are Kimberly Seldon, Hicks Pettes Architect, Bbazz Concept, Andrey Kmelov Architect (K2Design), Amedeo Barbini Developments and many private clients. Our company was repeatedly covered in the press, on radio and TV.
Modern technologies of construction and present day materials have widen the scope of using decorative glass in modern architecture. Technological progress also reflected positively on glass production, which became much more affordable comparing with previous eras. As a result we have possibility to create the most expressive works of art, which reflect our time.

First of all, I have excellent art education. It is more then 15 years of specific art education including University of Applied and Industrial Arts (Now it is Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in Ukraine), Kharkiv State Art College, Art School and also some additional courses such as Illin's School of Jewellers Art, Auto CAD and 3D MAX computer courses.

We do not only use pre made glass, but create it ourselves in our studio in case of need. We explore applications that demand not only decorative affects, but technical creativity as well. We experiment, through our vast knowledge of different materials, techniques, forms and history of art, to express our contemporary view of the world through three-dimensional manifestations of our thought.
Forth, and the most important, we know how to use and combine all components effectively. We create artistic glass that organically interact with architecture and interior. Architectural glass is comparable to jeweller's art. It is an architectural diamond, that adds to the house special charm and delicacy reflecting exquisite taste of people living in the building.
